Jacquie McMahon works in Ketchum New York’s corporate practice on financial services and purpose-driven social impact campaigns for a variety of clients. Jacquie is the associate director of programming for the New York chapter of PRSA and is actively involved with The Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations. Jacquie graduated summa cum laude from The University of Alabama with a bachelor of arts in public relations and a double minor in business and organizational communication studies.

Endangered Species Day: Four Ways to Engage

Most of us can relate to a love of animals. We’ve always had a favorite animal – or, a more recent trend, discovered our “spirit animal.”

But did you know that more than 23,000 animal species are identified as threatened with extinction, according to the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species? Animals that we know and love have populations that are rapidly decreasing, and many of them are losing their natural habitats. Even surprising species like bumblebees are now considered endangered.
